In previous versions of Windows, ALT + TAB ('Windows Flip'), WINKEY + TAB ('Switcher,' 'Windows Flip 3D') and their touch-based equivalents were used to quickly switch between running apps. These shortcuts and actions are still available in Windows 10, though they've changed and improved yet again. ![]() ALT + TAB dates back decades, though in Windows Vista this keyboard shortcut was retroactively renamed to Windows Flip, a term that few people probably remember, let alone use. But the theory has always been the same: Using a UI that evolved only somewhat over the years, you can hold down on the ALT key and then tap TAB repeatedly to switch between the available running applications, using on-screen thumbnails. When you find the one you wish to switch to, just let go of both keys. In Windows 8, Microsoft added an edge swipe alternative to Windows Flip, letting users flip between running apps by swiping from the left edge of the screen. With this form of app switching, you simply keep swiping until the app you wish is displayed on the screen. In Windows 10, these interactions have evolved yet again. The ALT + TAB keyboard shortcut works much like it did before, but the app thumbnails are now much larger. And the edge swipe—which was further confused in Windows 8 by being overloaded by a Switcher interface described below—no longer has an ALT + TAB connection. Instead, it works as does WINKEY + TAB only. So let's look at that next. In Windows Vista, Microsoft added WINKEY + TAB as an alternative to ALT + TAB. Recently, my Alt + Tab switched back to the classic format. I LOVE the windows 7 aero view, and would appreciate any help in getting it back. It still doesn't work. My Aero flip 3D (Winlogo + Tab) works fine and so does Aero preview on the 'show desktop' option (mouseover on right corner on toolbar). Dubbed Windows Flip 3D at the time, it provided a neat effect that utilized Vista's hardware acceleration capabilities. Windows Flip 3D disappeared in Windows 8 and was replaced by Switcher and the new edge swipe interfaces. So if you hold down WINKEY and tap TAB, the Switcher UI pops up on the left edge of the screen. Subsequent taps of TAB will move the focus to other running (Modern) apps, but not the desktop, which is confusing. Let go of both keys to switch to the current selected app, as before. Switcher is on the left This form of app switching was further complicated by the fact that the left edge swipe in Windows 8 is overloaded. As you can pin any programs to Taskbar in Windows 7, you might don’t want to enable the Quick Launch bar, but you might want to use the shortcut of Flip 3D. Windows 7 was a very beautiful release by Microsoft. One of its prominent feature was Aero style. Aero style contained some innovative visual effects including. The Vista Flip 3D Activator is a tiny utility that enhances the Flip 3D feature of Windows Vista by allowing you to control it with your mouse. It allows you to. A 'full' swipe in from the left edge of the screen switches to the next app in the 'app stack' as noted above, and is an alternative to ALT + TAB. But you can also do a partial swipe—one of the most difficult gestures in Windows 8—and bring up the Switcher UI if you do it just right. Then you can tap the app you wish to switch to. So it's an alternative to WINKEY + TAB too. But not in Windows 10. If you type WINKEY + TAB in Windows 10, or swipe in from the left edge of the screen, you will see the new Task View, which will stay onscreen if you let go of the keys, a big difference from before. This interface combines the thumbnail-based app selection/switching capabilities with the new multiple desktops feature, so you can switch between both apps and desktops. (And can otherwise add and manage those desktops too.) There's even a mouse-based way to activate this screen: Click (or tap) the new Task View button in the taskbar. This is a special button, like Start and Search, that is part of the taskbar and not something you can add or remove. (Or move.) These interfaces are only the tip of the multitasking iceberg in Windows 10. I'll look at other aspects of this functionality—include new Snap features like Snap Assist and the new keyboard shortcuts—in future tips. RECOMMENDED: If you have installed Windows 7 already, you know that the feature is also present in. With Aero Flip 3D, one can easily preview all open Windows without clicking on the taskbar icons. In other words, this is an alternative to the good old. As you know, we use Windows + Tab to quickly preview all open windows. In other words, we use keyboard shortcut to run Flip 3D. Here is a tiny application that enables you control Windows 7 and Vista Aero Flip 3D feature from mouse. Yes, with Windows Vista Flip 3D Activator you can preview all open windows with your mouse gesture or clicks. Actually i have this problem buying a GPRS Alarm system which use the mobile frequency. This means that device can be control anyway you are on the planet as long as your phone is available. So the idea is if burglary happened in my house for example the Alarm system will capture the image of the burglar and send the picture through MMS. But now the problem is the MMS not working either because of wrong setting or just because the device does not support data service like you said. However it is capable of sending e-mail plak. General Useful Shortcuts For Phone. I purchased 5 Cricket Wireless BYOD kits and moved/ported my whole family over. Since all five phones were in different locations (cities/states) at the time I had to get the sim kits to each person in advance. I also took pictures of each sim kit (iccid number) and also had everyone text me there IMEI number (dial *#06#). I tried to go through the Cricket wireless website to activate but it was easier for me to just call Cricket at 855.619.6021. It took about 20 minutes to provide all the above information for each line plus my account info/pin code. I asked the Cricket rep if I could hold off activation until the last day of my current bill cycle and they said 'no problem just call back when your ready'. When I called back to officially activate it only took about 5 minutes max. I also gave my family plenty of warning about when they would need to power down and replace the current sim with the new Cricket Wireless sim. ![]() O2 online help to enable users to find the answers they need. Service Activation. Please fill in the SIM card and your information to confirm your identity. To obtain Life Wireless service potential subscribers. I know that moving to a new service can be a pain but with a little planning, communication and this kit it was really simple! NOTE: Make sure all of your phones are paid-off and unlocked before you start this process; just check with your current provider. Also, if you would like to get $ back please checkout the referral program with Cricket. ![]() If you go to (the link) below and sign up when you activate your service we will both receive a $25 bill credit. In the process of switching four phones to Cricket from two other providers as Cricket has the best multi phone program in the business riding on the AT&T network. Rather than go to a Cricket store and pay the activation fee, I simply ordered the SIM cards from Walmart and did it online at no charge. Remember one thing though. The card needs to be activated by Walmart when you pick it up. They need to scan the code on the back. The first one worked great once it was activated and the online activation was done in minutes; port and all. The second card was not scanned and I was not able to do the activation online. Cricket customer service was able to get the job done in one phone call although it took some doing and and another trip to Walmart. Four lines of LTE service for a hundred bucks is tough to beat. I was able to activate two iPhone 5s phones (one Verizon factory unlocked, the other AT&T still locked) on Cricket through their website activation process - I didn't need to talk to a Cust Svc Rep at all. You simply need to make sure that the Walmart employee that you buy these SIMs from scans the proper codes from the packaging so that Cricket recognizes that you possess an activate-able SIM card (a process to ensure that the SIM card is not stolen). I bought Walmart's BYOD Cricket SIM card kit because it was cheaper than Cricket's (online and in stores) and the activation was free (vs. Costing up to $25 in a Cricket store). The experience with Walmart was great. ![]() Only took 2 minutes to pick my item up. Totally different story with Cricket. Attempted 6 times to port my number over to Cricket using their website because they charge you $25 to activate at one of their stores. Everytime I got to the last step to complete my activation, it takes about 20 minutes for me to get a message that it either didn't work or that it could take up to a week to verify my port info. Last time I tried, I got an error that the number was already a Cricket number. So i got on their online chat, and all the guy would reply was 'OK.' Then he tells me to go to the store. So I then called their 800 number. The guy's accent was so thick and his attitude was so bad that I had to hang up. Then I got a T-Mobile sim and it was activated and number ported in 3 minutes. San Diego area using unlocked iPhone 5. It was extremely easy to activate! I used my original phone number. I did it online and it took a total of 10 minutes from start to finish. I picked the basic plan and set up auto pay for $35 a month starting the second month. I inserted the sim card when the screen prompted me. Instantly, I was able to make phone calls, receive/send texts, and use data. So far so good! Here is a referral link. Receive $25 credit after having your account in good standing for at least 60 days. Simply follow the steps in the email. Complete Step 1. Great phone company, great phone company to work with, customer service help me to set up all the data settings and the phone settings to make the phone work right. Cricket is one of the best companies that have dealt with in The Last 5 Years. I tried Straight Talk, the phone card would not work they sent me another card that would not work their customer service Representatives are from some foreign country and very hard to understand and they tried to help me on 7 different occasions almost an hour long and in some cases withnell affect the phone still did not work it was a total waste of $45 plus buying the card plus shipping almost $50. I would not recommend them at all to anybody for anything. Just activated new phone today! Had to switch from straightalk, and Cricket operator was Very Kind and patient in helping me through the Entire process of canceling ST contract, and activation of new phone with Cricket using my previous number. Everything (so far) has gone without a hitch!? I'm Very New to all the new technology, and am not sure what the difference is in these sim/ nano cards!? I received my phone through UPS, and it came with a tiny card that I installed. I'm not sure if it should have been or was scanned!? But, the phone seems to be working just fine right now!! And I Must Complement the staff at Cricket, I spoke to a couple who were Extremely Curious, and willing to do Whatever it took to ensure my complete satisfaction!! Even going as far as the first operator staying with me throughout the Entire call, of transfers to other departments and calls to Straightalk, to Ensure I was understood and that All my concerns and needs were met b4 disconnecting with me!! And she was Glad to do it!! You could tell to Her, it was Not Just her JOB, she was Kind, Considerate, and CARING bc she truly Cares about People!! And it was Obvious she Enjoys her job!! How Refreshing is that to experience these days!!!!!! Sorry So Long!! But, I just felt it Necessary to say!! Godspeed and God's Love and Compassion I hope for Everyone to Share & Enjoy!!!!!! |
